1 km from centre
One kilometre from the centre of Ozalj, a picturesque Ethno park is located. The open air museum offers traditional architecture and everyday items from the preindustrial era.
Museum on open
In the open space, under expert guidance and surveillance, there is a collection of residential and farm buildings, interiors of low peasant rooms, kitchens and sheds with an authentic inventory. The roofs of the houses are covered by rye straw, the so-called “škop”.
Škopa
The houses were built by a characteristic way of building using hewed wooden beams with the so-called “hrvaški vugli” (Croatian corners) and are a testament to the ever rarer examples of traditional peasant construction.
In order to visit the ethno park, you need to call the Ozalj museum ahead.
